1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address, display name, and chosen username. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google's OAuth service.

Uploaded content: PDF files, exam metadata (title, year, subject, organisation), and any other fields you provide during the upload process.

Usage data: We record page views, download events, and search queries in aggregate to improve the platform. Individual download events are associated with a hashed (anonymised) IP address — we never store raw IP addresses.

Cookies and sessions: We use browser cookies solely for authentication sessions (Supabase). We do not use tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the PYQ.SarkariTool service
• Attribute uploaded papers to contributor profiles
• Calculate reputation scores and badges
• Process and moderate uploaded papers through our AI pipeline
• Send transactional emails (upload confirmation, account notifications)
• Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Use
• Display Google AdSense advertisements (see Section 4)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. PDF files are stored in private Supabase Storage buckets and accessed only via short-lived signed URLs (120 seconds TTL).

Uploaded papers are processed by an AI pipeline (Google Gemini). Extracted PDF text is sent to Gemini solely for validation and article generation and is not retained by us beyond the processing session.

4. Advertising

PYQ.SarkariTool uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and web beacons to collect data about your visit in order to show relevant ads. This data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ad Settings.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update your display name and bio from your dashboard
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
• Portability: Request your uploaded papers list in CSV format

6. DMCA and Content Removal

If you believe a paper on this site infringes your copyright, please review our DMCA Policy and submit a takedown request.

7. Children's Privacy

PYQ.SarkariTool is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has registered, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
